I attended the
Mailed and Mounted show opening last night and was excited and surprised to learn that my entry had won "Best in Show." The postcard show was really inspiring with a large variety of work from artists from all over the world. I met a lot of great people from the
Anton Art Center and reconnected with some friends from
Cranbrook Academy of Art. I was honored with the award and so happy to be able to see how stunning the Art Center is in person.
My daughter and I near the entry from my friend Julie Prokop.

Abbi,
Congratulations! I can't believe out of all of those entries you won Best in Show. Great work! I really loved what you did.
Jeb and I got a unique experience to go to a Rembrandt/Durer (and a couple others) exhibit. Some guy wanted to give his kids some culture and started collecting original Rembrandts 5 years ago. He had over 60 of them. It was so amazing! I'll post more about it on my blog soon. Jeb and I have a very untrained eye, but we still loved it and were moved by it. We wish you were there to shed a little more light on some things. :)
Take care, Becca
That's fabulous, Abbi! But I can't say that I'm surprised. You really are awesomely talented.
That so great! Way to go so happy I read about it on here!
So it sounds like they will make your postcard into note cards to sell at their giftshop...I'd like to buy some when they're ready, so maybe you could let us all know.
They are giving me a ton of the cards so I will send one your way free of charge.
